Mililani sweeps KS-Maui for D1 third place

Jordyn Keamo put down a match-high 19 kills and hit .348 to lead the Trojans (16-2) to a 25-22, 25-15, 25-19 sweep of the Warriors (15-3). Emilee Craig came up with 24 digs and Casie Gaza dished out 24 assists rnfor Mililani, the OIA champion. Sienna Davis had a team-high 10 kills and 13 digs for Kamehameha-Maui, the Maui Interscholastic League rnchampion.

FIFTH PLACE

Moanalua def. Baldwin, 3-0

Erin Perez registered 12 kills, Silerolia Gaogao 11 and Katiana Ponce added 13 digs for Moanalua (16-3) in a 25-17, 25-18 and 25-13 sweep of Baldwin (13-6) in the fifth-place match of the New City Nissan/Hawaii rnHigh School Athletic Association Division I Girls Volleyball State rnChampionships Saturday at Blaisdell Arena. The OIA third-seed Moanalua, got 30 assists and six digs from Courtney Uyeda. Kalei Vaivai rnled Baldwin, the Maui Interscholastic League runner-up, with five kills and seven digs. The Bears hit .087 for the match.

CONSOLATION FINAL

Castle def. Kaiser, 2-1

Joshell Lilio had 15 kills and 12 digs as the Knights (13-6) beat the Cougars (13-5) 30-28, 22-25 and 16-14 in a match shortened by the time limit. Verna-Marie Lynch recorded 11 kills and five blocks and Jasmine Solley added 14 digs for Castle, the Oahu Interscholastic Association's fifth-place team. Haley Durham had 16 kills and seven blocks for Kaiser, the fourth-place team from the OIA.
