Remtatches highlight Friday's O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red tournament semifinals at Aloha Stadium.

Defending champion and top-ranked Kahuku (9-0) will play No. 4 Leilehua (6-2), 7:30 p.m.. It is a rematch of last year's OIA championship.

At 4:30 p.m., No. 3 Mililani (8-1) will battle No. 8 Wai'anae (4-5). During the regular season, the Seariders trounced the Trojans, 42-28.

The winners advance to the championship Nov. 5 at Aloha Stadium and earn Division I state tournament berths, while the loser play for third place and the league's final state berth Nov. 6 at site to be determined.

The Red Raiders own 35-18-3 lead in the series. Their last five meetings were in postseason. Twice they have met in the OIA semifinals with Kahuku having won both (12-6 in 2004 and 13-7 in 2006).

Kahuku has shown a balanced attack with QB Evan Moe's passing and RB Aofaga Wily's rushing. Moe has passed for 1,162 yards and 12 TDs, while Wily has rushed for 1,010 yards and 15 TDs.

Leilehua has been going with the hot-hand at QB, either Jordan Kalaau or Kenan Sadanaga, who has passed for 1,033 yards and 11 TDs. Kalaau has 769 yards passing and nine TDs.

Wai'anae leads its series with Mililani, 18-5. In postseason, the Seariders are 3-0 against the Trojans.

The Trojans are led by QB Trent McKinney and RB Zachary Payomo. McKinney has passed for 1,660 yards and 18 TDs, while Payomo has rushed for 1,125 and 10 TDs. Mililani also has one of the top receivers in the state in Hassan Richardson (583 yards, 8 TDs).

The Seariders have a double-threat QB in Puletua Wilson, who has passed for nine TDs and rushed for seven more.


ILH

The Interscholastic League of Honolulu closes out its regular season 6 p.m. Thursday at Aloha Stadium with No. 2 Saint Louis playing No. 9 Kamehameha.

The Crusaders (8-1) clinched its league title two weeks ago and secured a Division I state tournament berth, but the defending champion Warriors (5-4) would like to end their season on a winning note.

No. 7 'Iolani, the ILH Division II champion, ends its regular season Friday by hosting Damien at 3:15 p.m.


BIIF

The Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division I semifinals starts this weekend.

On Friday, Kea'au will host Hilo and on Saturday, Waiakea will visit Kealakehe. The winners advance to next week's BIIF title game for the right to represent the island in the Division I state tournament.

Both BIIF games begin with a 5 p.m. JV game with the varsity to follow.
