Kahuku outlasted Moanalua, 25-22, 27-25, 21-25, 25-22, last night to advance to Thursday's O'ahu Interscholastic Association girls volleyball championship match.
The Red Raiders improved to 13-2 in league play and are the only unbeaten team in the modified double-elimination tournament. Moanalua fell to 13-2 and will face Mililani (13-3) at about 7 tonight in an elimination match at Farrington.
The winner of that match will face Kahuku at about 7 p.m. Thursday at McKinley's Student Council Gym, with the Red Raiders able to clinch the title if victorious. If Kahuku loses, it will get a second chance to win the championship in a winner-take-all rematch on Saturday.
