The University Laboratory School seeks qualified candidates for the position of Boys Varsity Volleyball Head Coach for the 2026–2027 school year.

The successful candidate will provide leadership for the boys volleyball program and foster the athletic, academic, and personal development of student-athletes.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Knowledge of and experience in coaching and instructing student-athletes in the rules, regulations, equipment, strategies, and techniques of volleyball.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a competitive high school volleyball program.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, administrators, faculty, and community members in a professional manner.
• Possession of a valid National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Fundamentals of Coaching Certification, Concussion Certification, Heat Illness Prevention Certification, and CPR/First Aid Certification. Required certifications must be obtained prior to the start of the season if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all aspects of the boys varsity volleyball program.
• Conduct practices and coach during games and tournaments.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and character development.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
• Comply with all school, league, and state athletic association policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with school administration, athletic staff, and families to support student-athlete success.
