After a slow start, Farrington came alive.

The Governors rebounded from a 12-5 first-quarter deficit to turn back visiting Castle, 56-39, at Kitamura Gymnasium in an OIA East matchup Friday night.

Hunter Garcia led all scorers with 20 points while Shayniah Cabato-Machado shook off a head injury to finish with 19 points as Farrington earned its second straight win to improve to 5-4 in the regular season.

"We just pushed and we had faith," said Cabato-Machado. "I just had faith in my teammates. Without my teammates, we wouldn't catch up to the score. We just fought, tried our best."

Kalia Chun had 13 points for the Knights, who dropped to 2-7 in league play.
