Pearl City improved to 6-0 on the season, claiming its fifth straight league contest with a 28-14 win over Kalaheo.

The Chargers trailed after the first quarter, as the visiting Mustangs scored first on a 50 yard pass from Jude Weber to Zayden Napulou to make it a 7-0 game, but the home team rallied to put 14 points up before the intermission on a two yard pass from Trey Dacoscos to Javian Mizuno followed by a 12 yard keeper by Dacoscos that put Pearl City back in front, 14-7.

A 51 yard interception return for a score by Tiger Ader extended the Chargers' lead in the third, but Kalaheo was able to respond in the fourth with a scoring drive capped off by a two yard run by Marcus Sasaki to cut the margin back to single digits.

Pearl City was able to counter with a drive of its own that culminated with a seven yard run by Shaeden Talo to cap the scoring in the contest.

The Mustangs finished the game with more total yards (281 to 202) than the Chargers, but three interceptions, which included one taken back for a score, definitely factored in.

Dacoscos completed 20 of 32 passes for a modest 150 yards and a score and was picked off once as well. His counterpart, Weber, threw for 202 yards but completed just 12 of 30 passes.

Kalaheo's Sasaki had a game-high 85 yards on 23 carries, and Napulou led all receivers with 89 yards and a score.
