Kailua finds late offense to get past Castle, remain unbeaten

Kailua parlayed 10 hits into eight runs, and took over sole possession of first place in the OIA East standings, defeating previously unbeaten Castle, 8-2.

Titan Kauhi had two hits and scored three times and Rayvin Pagan also collected a pair of hits while driving in three to pace the Surfriders, who scored three runs in the final two innings to break a 2-all game open.

Castle built a 2-0 lead after two innings but Kailua ralied to tie the game up with a pair of runs in the fourth that came in on a Pagan double. The game remained tied until the sixth, when a bases loaded walk gave the Surfriders the lead for good.

Pagan also was the winning pitcher, tossing 2 1/3 innings in relief.
