No. 9 Campbell jumped out to a fast start and battered Radford, 67-33 in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I West contest at Jim Alegre Gymnasium Friday.

The Sabers improved to 5-0 in the standings and continue to dominate their league games by an average of 38.8 points.

Campbell's starters accounted for 51 of the team's 67 points led by Rondell Blenman-Villarreal (14.0 ppg), who scored a game-high 16 points.

"We let him dictate the pace. When we call something, he sees it and he has good eye vision so that's what helps a lot. When we switch and have Miles (Hornage) play the one, he can play the post too and it makes it even better, they can play post or guard. It helps us out," Campbell coach Wyatt Tau said of Blenman-Villarreal.

Royson Dacuycuy added 12 points all on 3-pointers, Mizah Carreira and Mason Muaau each added eight, and Miles Hornage with seven to round out the starter scoring.

Campbell jumped out on a 7-0 run capped by Hornage completing a lob from Carreira. The Rams scored the next six points to trail by one, but the Sabers answered with a 14-1 run to close out the quarter. Campbell got the ball back after the inbounder stepped on the baseline and the 6-foot-6 Muaau converted the entry lob as time expired to lead, 21-7 going into the second quarter.

"We have to get ready for every game and our kids work so hard at practice. We prep every game like it's anybody, it doesn't matter who it is. These kids pulled through and the things we have to correct too," Tau said.

Malik Jackson added seven off the bench and hit a 3 from the right wing to spark a 9-0 run and Hornage followed up by drilling another from the left wing for a 20-point lead and forced a Radford timeout 57 seconds into the second period.

Naalii Nicholas-Mattos broke the Rams' scoring drought with a basket at the 5:01 mark. Radford was in the bonus and went 5 of 8 from the free throw line from the quarter but Campbell led big, 43-14 at halftime.

The Rams were short-handed and missed three starters including leading scorer Caden Williams (11.7 points per game). Isaiah Harmon led Radford with eight and Hawkins Souffrant added six.

"We don't key on anybody. The type of defense we have been playing should be for any kid. We have to respect everyone on their team and whatever happens, happens. I just hope we play team defense to stop anybody that they have," Tau said.

Campbell drained six of their eight 3-pointers in the first half.

The Sabers mixed up their zone defense going 3-2, 2-3, or 1-3-1 with Blenman-Villarreal commanding the top on certain series or playing at the bottom.

"It all depends on what they were giving us. I look at what they have and we pick and choose and adjust it every quarter. We stayed in our zone. Next week we play Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday so we have to rest up and didn't want to play too much man tonight," Tau said.

Blenman-Villarreal scored eight of the team's 18 points in the third quarter and the Sabers led by as much as 37 as both teams emptied their benches in the final quarter.

Radford looks to rebound and plays Waianae (0-5) on Saturday.

Campbell has four games in six days next week starting with Waianae on Monday, Kapolei (4-1) on Wednesday, Mililani (5-0) on Friday, and Aiea (3-1) on Saturday.
