Hurricanes sweep Sabers to close out regular season play

Kapolei closed out the regular season with a straight set sweep over host Campbell Thursday night in OIA West play.

The Hurricanes improved to 8-2 and secured the West's No. 3 seed in the league's upcoming Division I playoffs, which begins next Wednesday.

Kapolei will host the second first round game at its gymnasium as it will take on Roosevelt.

Malinah Purcell-Telefoni had nine kills with six aces and two blocks to lead the Hurricanes in the win.

Tyanah Mokiao-Atimala had six kills to lead the Sabers in the loss.
