KANEOHE — Kailua's Brody Person scored twice to lift Kailua over Castle 2-0 Saturday night.

The Surfriders have won their last four games in a row and moved into third place in the OIA East standings with the win.

Kailua started the game off fast from the first whistle and created a multitude of pressure on the Castle back line. That constant pressure resulted in the first goal in the 18th minute when Person latched onto a stray ball, blitzed past two Castle defenders, and calmly placed his shot into the bottom left corner.

The Surfriders continued the pressure and would double their advantage less than five minutes later. In the 22nd minute, Connor Reece took a corner from the left side and Person rose above everyone else to nod home his second of the game.

After halftime, Person was moved to defense and it was Castle's turn to dominate and push forward. The Knights controlled much of the possession for the remaining 40 minutes but were unable to break the Kailua defense. Person moved back up top with less than five minutes to go and nearly got a hat trick but his shot hit off the post.

Both teams will play next Wednesday, where the Surfriders (5-2-1) host Moanalua and Kamuki visits Castle (3-4-1).
