The Oahu Interscholastic Association announced a revision to its Division I football schedule in an email from league coordinator Harold Tanaka Monday morning.
The change only affects the six teams in D1, who will now open their five-game league schedule a week later than the rest of the OIA teams in the Open Division and D2.
The D1 games that were scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 15-16 have been rescheduled to the final week of the regular season on Dec. 4; those games are Roosevelt at Waipahu and Aiea at Kailua, while Moanalua and Castle each have a bye that weekend.
The opening slate of D1 games features three games on Friday, Oct. 22: Kailua at Waipahu, Aiea at Moanalua and Castle at No. 14 Roosevelt.
The top two teams in Division I after the regular season qualify for the OIA championship game on Saturday, Dec. 11. That game will be hosted by the higher-seeded team.
There were no changes made to the OIA's Open or D2 schedules.
