Two non-league high school football games slated for this weekend have been canceled and another postponed because of COVID-19 issues.
Games on Friday featuring Campbell at Waipahu and Aiea at Leilehua have been canceled, Oahu Interscholastic Association football coordinator Harold Tanaka said. An Open Division game between Kamehameha and Mililani, also set for Friday, has been postponed. The schools are trying to reschedule because it is a league game, Tanaka said.
Because the Campbell-Waipahu and Aiea-Leilehua games are non-league, they are considered canceled and not forfeited by teams affected by COVID-19, Tanaka said.
Meanwhile, Tanaka said more announcements will be made Tuesday.
