WAIALUA — In an OIA-ILH interleague game, the visiting Wolfpack of PAC-5 got the win Saturday night against the Waialua Bulldogs at Toshiyuki Nakasone Field.

PAC-5 earned its second straight win and improved to 2-2 while Waialua dropped to 2-3 overall.

Quarterback Chase Hedani threw for 133 yards and one touchdown, a 24-yard scoring strike to receiver Kama Espinda in the first quarter. The PAT was no good as it was blocked by Waialua's Kai Hoekstra.

The offense's go-to person of the night was running back Joshua Arcayena. He scored on a 2-yard TD run in the second quarter to make the score 12-0.

Arcayena scored again in the fourth quarter on a 4-yard run. The Wolfpack set up to attempt the PAT, but eventually they went for the 2-point conversion and Arcayena ran it in to make the score 20-0.

However, the Bulldogs were not done playing any football yet. Quarterback Justyce Lacar found the endzone on a 5-yard quarterback keeper to make the score 20-7 with 6:26 remaining in regulation.

Later in the final period, Lacar found Kayde Mahuka, who lined up as a wide receiver, for a 1-yard TD. This made the score 20-14 with 3:12 left in the game.

On the next kickoff, the Bulldogs got the ball back from an onside kick with Justin "Kamu" Lorenzo recovered the ball.

Eventually PAC-5's defense stood strong down the stretch. The Wolfpack totaled four sacks, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, and two interceptions.
