KANEOHE — After just a one-point lead through nearly two quarters, No. 10 Damien put up 34-unanswered points to pull away from Castle, 41-13, Friday night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association-Interscholastic League of Honolulu Interleague matchup at the Knights' home field.

Juniors Amo Sulu and River Iaea each found paydirt twice on the ground to help put the Monarchs ahead, 27-6, near the top of the second half.

Damien quarterback Jake Holtz added another score on a 28-yard keeper just over two minutes later.

Senior Kyle Kinney nabbed a pick-6 to add to the Monarchs' huge lead in the fourth quarter before Castle's Chazz Tom scored on a four-yard run late in the game to lessen the lead.

Castle fell to 1-3 overall but remain at 1-1 in the OIA standings. They'll take on Radford (0-3, 0-4 overall) next Friday.

The Monarchs continued their hot start to remain unbeaten at 5-0 with a trip to No. 13 Leilehua (3-1, 4-1 overall) up next on the docket.
