This one felt like a barnburner through the first half of play.
Then the floodgates opened.
Kahuku broke open a scoreless game at the half for a 32-0 win over visiting Waianae in an OIA Open game at Carleton E. Weimer Field Saturday night.
It was a bounce back win for the Red Raiders (2-1 overall, 1-1 league), who lost to Mililani by the same score eight days prior.
Zealand Matagi rushed 13 times for 132 yards and two scores to lead the Red Raiders, who racked up 206 yards on the ground.
