No. 4 Campbell rebounds to roll Farrington

No. 4 Campbell rebounded from last week's loss to throttle Farrington, 41-6, in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Open Division game at Edward ‘Skippa' Diaz Stadium at Kusunoki Field Thursday night.

The Sabers improve to 1-1 overall, 1-1 league while the Governors fell to 0-3 overall, 0-1 league.

Titus Mokiao-Atimalala (seven receptions, 98 yards) had a sack, forced fumble, and hauled in a pair of touchdown passes from Blaine Hipa, who had 311 yards on 23-of-39 passing for Campbell. Zavier Ceruti caught touchdown passes of 60 and 57 yards to finish with a game-high six catches for 164 yards.

Bubba Aina-Chaves added 61 net rushing yards on 14 carries and scored a 2-yard touchdown for Campbell to go up, 20-0.

After being outscored in their first two games 66 to 0, the Govs got on the scoreboard for the first time after Jonah Aina-Chaves answered by punching in a 3-yard run. The drive started at the Campbell 12 after a blindside block penalty was called on the Sabers.

Kaipo Enos-Ho picked off Darius Chaffin and returned it 38 yards the other way to lead a defense that forced four turnovers.

Campbell had 359 yards of total offense compared to Farrington which had 148 yards of total offense.

The Sabers host defending state champion and No. 1 Saint Louis on Friday, Aug. 23. The Govs host No. 2 Mililani on Saturday, Aug. 24.
