KALIHI — Punahou and Farrington are seemingly at total opposite ends at only the two-week mark into the new football season.

The fourth-ranked Buffanblu continued its hot start with another defensive shutout to go along with a 31-point offensive output in Friday evening's victory over the No. 15 Governors at Edward 'Skippa' Diaz Stadium at Kusunoki Field to start Oahu Interscholastic Association/Interscholastic League of Honolulu Open Division interleague play.

In the second quarter, Buffanblu quarterback Hugh Brady had to be helped off the field by team trainers and did not return to the game.

Freshman John-Keawe Sagapolutele would later take over behind center and completed scoring passes of 82 yards to Rayden Kiaaina-Caires and 51 yards to Moku Dancil-Evans.

While Farrington remains unblemished with its league record intact at 0-0, it has yet to get on the scoreboard after being blanked 35-0 last week by Leilehua in a game that saw roughly 20 Governors players sidelined mostly due to physical-related reasons.

Farrington (0-2 overall) returns home to host Campbell (0-1) next Thursday while Punahou (1-0 ILH, 2-0 overall) will play a rare on-campus home game against Kamehameha (0-0) on Friday.
