Punahou edged visiting Saint Louis, 1-0, in an ILH match at Alexander Field Tuesday afternoon.

The Buffanblu, ranked second in the Hawaiian Electric Boys Soccer Power Rankings, got their lone score on a goal by Dominic Gusman in the sixth minute. Gusman, who scored his third goal of the season, latched on to a long ball as he sprinted pass a defender on the pass to give Punahou the win.

Punahou improved to 5-0-1 with the win while the tenth-ranked Crusaders dropped to 3-2-1 in a match that featured multiple yellow cards issued on both sides.

Saint Louis had a pair of opportunities inside the box that was generated by future UNLV men's soccer player Skyler Goo, but Punahou keeper Nicholas Shor made a handful of diving saves near the ground to keep the Crusaders off the board.

The Buffanblu's closest attempt at adding another score was in the 65th minute when Max Moonier's free kick hit the top of the crossbar.
