MILILANI — This game was over in a hurry.

Third-ranked Mililani rolled its way to a 35-0 halftime lead and never looked back as it took care of Kailua, 44-6, Saturday night in a non-league tune-up at John Kauinana Stadium.

Senior quarterback Dillon Gabriel threw three touchdown passes and three different players ran for a score to power the Trojans (1-0) to victory.

Kailua (1-0) got a TD in the closing minutes to avoid a shutout, scoring on Cole Weber's 79-yard TD pass to Kamryn Kahoonei.

The Trojans will host Farrington to begin league play next Saturday while the Surfriders will face Leilehua (0-1) on Friday.
