One week and a venue change later, Iolani finally got the win.

The Raiders clipped Punahou, 11-5, Friday afternoon at Hans L'Orange Field in a continuation of an Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division I contest that was stopped in the bottom of the second ining one week ago due to rain and lightning.

Trevor Ichimura helped keep the Buffanblu at bay in six innings of work and Iolani benefitted from a six-run second inning from when the game was held at Ala Wai Field to earn its fifth straight win and improve to 11-3-1 before the start of the league's second round, which is a double-elimination tournament.

The Raiders' victory also stopped Punahou (11-4) from forcing a playoff with Mid-Pacific (12-3) to determine the league's first round champion, which would have pushed back the start date of the second round. Instead, the Owls will enjoy a first round bye and are assured a spot in the state tournament.

Iolani will begin second round play on Saturday against PAC-5 in a 3:30 p.m. game at Hans L'Orange Field. The Buffanblu have a shorter turnaround, facing Maryknoll at noon at Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park on the same day.
