Knights, Menes move on in OIA playoffs

Castle and Moanalua is moving on in the Oahu Interscholastic Association playoffs.

The Knights defeated Waianae, 2-1, and Na Menehune shutout Leilehua, 4-0, at Moanalua's field Monday night to advance to the quarterfinal round of the league's Division I 12-team tournament.

Moanalua will face No. 6 Kapolei at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday while Castle will take on No. 4 Kaiser to follow. Both matches will be held at the Cougars' stadium.

Zeyz Hughes-Martin and Christopher Castillo each knocked in goals in the Knights' victory.

Skyler Kaleiohi had the Seariders' only score of the day.

Zackery Banuilos scored twice to lead Na Menehune to victory. Marques Sakuma and Austin Diaz also had goals for Moanalua.
