Mililani, Sacred Hearts take state cheerleading titles

Mililani and Sacred Hearts took top honors at the Zippy's/HHSAA Cheerleading State Championships at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena Saturday morning.

The Trojans claimed their second straight large division crown and third overall with a score of 499.5 points. Iolani posted 484.25 points to finish second, Baldwin was third with 461.5 and Maui fourth with 344.

The Lancers scored a meet-high 503.5 points to win the medium division for their first state championship. Kaiser took runner-up honors with 487.25 points, Waimea was third with 472, Aiea fourth with 467 and Punahou fifth with 463.75.
