HALAWA — A homecoming night crowd left Halawa happy as the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (1-3 MW, 3-4 overall) sent the San Jose State Spartans (0-4 MW, 1-7) back home with a loss, 37-26, in a Mountain West Conference West Division matchup Saturday night at Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union Field at Aloha Stadium.

Hawaii scored 16 points in a hectic fourth quarter to squeak out a win to snap a four-game losing skid after having started the season 2-0.

The Rainbow Warriors were again led by the powerful running of senior Diocemy Saint Juste, who racked up 202 yards and two touchdowns on 39 carries. In the process, Saint Juste became the only player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-yard rushing mark in consecutive seasons.

The Boynton Beach, Florida native also became Hawaii's second all-time career leading rusher, passing Michael Carter's (90-93) total of 2,528 yards.
