Aiea downs Kalani in four sets; Moanalua next

Aiea is moving on in the playoffs.

Na Alii (8-3) outlasted Kalani (7-5) in four sets, 25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, in the opening round of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I tournament at Richard Kitamura Gymnasium Wednesday night.

Leslie Mamai-Lagafuaina put down a match-high 20 kills and Christina Betham had a double-double of 10 kills and 19 digs to power Aiea into the quarterfinals against Moanalua (11-0), the top-seed from the Eastern Division. The two teams will play in the second match at Na Menehune's gym Thursday.

Shaena Noda and Maya Hamaoka each had eight kills to lead the Falcons in their season-ending loss.
