Iolani runs past Hilo, 3-0

WAIPAHU — Kylee Kim-Bustillos scored her team-leading 22nd goal of the season as Iolani cruised to a 3-0 quarterfinal win over fourth-seeded Hilo in the Queen's Medical Center/HHSAA Division I Girls Soccer State Championships at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium Thursday afternoon.

The Raiders (11-0-3) posted their second shut out of the tournament. They blanked Moanalua 3-0 in Monday's opening round.

Kim-Bustillos, a senior midfielder, scored in the 33rd minute to open the scoring.

Sophomore midfielder Taylor Venenciano scored her first goal of the year in the 45th minute and senior forward Shantel Torres-Benito closed out the scoring with her 12th goal of the season in the 65th minute.

Iolani, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu runner-up, will face Mililani in a 5 p.m. semifinal Friday.

The Big Island Interscholastic Federation champion Vikings (8-2-1) will play Aiea at 3 p.m. Friday in a consolation match.
