Le Jardin fends off Damien in four sets in D2 semis

Le Jardin defeated Damien in four sets in the semifinals of the New City Nissan/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II Girls Volleyball Championships at Kaimuki's Gymnasium Friday evening.

The Bulldogs saw four players finish with 12 or more kills to advance into their second straight Division II state title game.

Julia Fisher pounded 16 kills, Kassidy Naone had 15 more and Arianna Lunow-Luke and Natalie Piper each had 12 kills to lead the Bulldogs' attack.

Sophomore outside hitter Shelby Capllonch registered 26 kills and 10 digs to lead the Monarchs in the loss.
