Two Hawaii players to play in Arizona Fall League

A pair of 2013 Hawaii high school graduates have been selected to play in the prestigious Arizona Fall League.

Waiakea graduate Kean Wong and Mid-Pacific alumnus Isiah Kiner-Falefa have been assigned to the Peoria Javalinas and the Surprise Saguaros, respectively, according to Baseball America.

Wong, an infielder, is the brother of St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong (Kamehameha-Hawaii). Wong was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the fourth round (128th overall player picked).  Kiner-Falefa was picked two slots later by the Texas Rangers.

Kiner-Falefa was drafted as an infielder, but has since been working out as a catcher.

The Arizona Fall League is for Major League Baseball's top prospects.
