Hawaii Baptist reaches D2 semis with 41-31 win over Castle

Hawaii Baptist reached the semifinals of the HHSAA Division Girls Basketball championships, taking down Castle, 41-31, in a low scoring quarterfinal at Kalani High School.

The Eagles trailed 12-8 after the first quarter, but went on a 17-6 scoring run in the second to lead 25-18 at halftime.

Stephanie Dang led all scorers with 17 points, including 5 three-pointers, and also added four rebounds, a steal and a block. Teammate Kylie Wada added 14 points and 5 rebounds.

Castle was paced by 11 points and 6 rebounds by Darrien Dacosin.

Both teams scored a combined total of 27 points in the second half.
