Kaiser improved to 2-0 in the OIA White with a 14-1 victory over McKinley in an afternoon affair.

Starting pitcher Lesieli Aholelei allowed just one run on four hits and got plenty of backup from the Cougars offense, who spotted the freshman a five run lead before she even took the mound.

Aholelei went the distance, striking out 11 and walking five.

The Cougars continued to inch ahead following a big first inning, taking a 10-1 lead into the top of the seventh where Kaiser padded the margin even further courtesy of Rainelle Matsuoka.

Matsuoka stroked a line shot to left center and then motored her way around the bases for a three-run home run to cap another big offensive afternoon for the Cougars, who have outscored their first two league opponents by a 32-1 margin.

Kim Dilda led the way for Kaiser with a 2-for-3 day at the plate with 2 runs scored and four RBIs. Matsuoka's homer was the team's lone extra base hit.

Next up for the Cougars is a rivalry match with neighboring Kalani (1-1) on Saturday, before taking on visiting Nanakuli (2-0) in a showdown of league leaders on March 5.
