Player of the Year: Milan Ah Yat, PAC-5, Sr.

There was no doubt who this award would go to once the Division II state tournament finished. Ah Yat capped her illustrious prep career with a go-ahead grand slam in the seventh inning of the state championship game to help propel PAC-5 to its sixth title over Waimea in early May. The 5-foot-9 infielder, who will continue her playing career at Loyola Marymount University, led all of Division II in hits (34), runs (40), RBIs (44) and home runs (12) with a 0.618 batting average while providing steady play at shortstop for the Wolfpack. Ah Yat was also selected as the ILH Division II Most Valuable Player by league coaches for two consecutive years.

Coach of the Year: Blake Lau

The story of the Wolfpack's first state title under Lau, its sixth overall, was one of perseverance. With just 12 players — including four freshmen — on the roster, PAC-5 (14-3) constantly trotted out multiple lineups with many players in different roles every game. Whatever it took to get the victory, the Wolfpack got it done. PAC-5 also rallied in the final inning in its final two games to capture the championship and won all of its state tournament contests by the difference of one run.
