Ivan Rabb showed why he is considered amongst the best prep basketball players in the country Friday night.

The senior forward poured in a game-high 22 points to lead Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, Calif.) to a 60-52 win over Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) in a semifinal game of the Iolani Classic.

The win was the Dragons' third in as many days and propelled them into Saturday's tournament championship, where they will take on Oak Hill (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) at 8 p.m.

Bishop O'Dowd, which is the No. 11 team in the USA Today Super 25 national rankings, also got 15 points from Paris Austin and 12 from Austin Walker.

"We've been having a lot of guys step up," Rabb said. "Austin Walker's been playing very well for us, Alex Zhao stepped up really good today, Paris Austin did what he normally does and it was just an all-around team effort."

The Dragons jumped out to an early 12-2 lead and held a 16-10 advantage after the first quarter. The Lancers answered with a 13-2 run that was capped by a pair of free throws by Rogers Printup and took a 28-25 lead going into halftime.

Rabb's putback just seconds into the third quarter sparked an 8-2 Bishop O'Dowd run that culminated with Austin Walker's 3-pointer from the right wing to give his team a 33-30 lead.

"In the third quarter we kind of ran plays that we we're most familiar with," Rabb said. "In the second quarter we were running plays that we weren't so familiar with, so we went back to the basic principles and did something that everybody knew and it worked out for us."

Bishop O'Dowd coach Lou Richie said it was a pivotal stretch of the game.

"We were looking for something being down 3 (at halftime)," Richie said. "We've been a team that has been down at half a lot and had to make adjustments to come back and win. We don't like playing like that. We'd rather win by 10, 15, 20 points and the (lack of a) shot clock here definitely plays a role. We want to run and push, we don't want to make 15, 20 passes first."

The Dragons did not relinquish the lead the rest of the way.

Printup hit a pair of free throws to cut Bishop O'Dowd's lead to 37-36, but Walker drove coast-to-coast for a layup and banked in a 3-pointer from the left wing in the closing seconds of the third quarter to stretch the lead back to 42-36.

Orange Lutheran coach Chris Nordstrom pointed to that stretch as a turning point in the contest.

"At the start of the third (quarter), you've got a team that's really good that's down, that's going to fight and I just felt like we had a little bit of offensive inefficiency in the third quarter," Nordstrom said. "I thought was what really hurt us was at the end of the third (quarter) when we took kind of a quick shot with 20 seconds (left), they hit a bank 3 and it was their ball (to start the fourth quarter), so that was a big portion of the game. They came out in the third and started well, we kind of battled back and then just didn't end the third quarter very well."

The Lancers were unable to cut the Dragons' lead to less than four the rest of the way.

Keisean Lucier-South and Printup scored 12 points apiece to lead Orange Lutheran, which will play St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) in the 6:30 p.m. third-place game Saturday.
