Over 170 participants attended Momilani Elementary School's PTSO (Parent, Teacher, Student Organization) second annual Hui O Momilani Basketball Clinic at Pearl City High School Gym.

Coach Dennis Agena of Kalakaua Basketball and Coach Mike Taylor of Punahou School were the lead instructors for the event. Other camp coaches on hand were Kekoa Taliaferro (Punahou Girl's Coach); Alan Lum (Former Punahou Boy's Coach); Byron Mello (Performance Basketball Clinics), and Greg Tacon (Moanalua Boy's Coach).

To the delight of the kids, University of Hawaii Players, Davis Rozitis and Hauns Brereton was on hand to greet the kids, talk to them, and sign autographs. Overall there were 20 high school coaches and 30 high school players to instruct the eager participants.

Agena brought over 25 high school students from his legendary rnclinic to work demonstrate various drills and help instruct attendees on many different skills, ranging from stationary ball control drills, ball handling, shot form, passing form, to footwork.

Coach Taylor gave his feelings on the event. "Coach Agena and I love teaching the game of basketball. The campers who attended this clinic showed a real spirit and love for basketball. We only wished the clinic was a few more hours so we could work with the kids longer! We hope to be back again next year."

This event marked Coach Dennis Agena's second clinic at Pearl City High School Gym.

"We were honored to be asked back to help and teach basketball to many different kids. We also want to support Momilani School. The kids here were great and it is always our privilege to assist in any way." said Agena.

Director of the clinic and Momilani second grade teacher Dwayne Yuen expressed his gratitude. "Our school is so fortunate to have such great coaches volunteer their time to teach the game of basketball and fundraise money for Momilani. Our clinic has been so successful since our principal, the Hui, fellow teachers, local coaches, and the community has really supported us."
