Kamehameha tops Tsinghua, 68-66, in 2OT

Micah Christenson swished a 3-pointer to send the game into double-overtime, then drained a 17-footer with two seconds remaining in the second OT to lift Kamehameha past Tsinghua (Beijing), 68-66, and into today's 'Iolani Prep Classic consolation final.

The Warriors will face Academy of the Pacific at 1:30 p.m. today.

Kamehameha led, 52-49, in the closing moments of regulation before Tsinghua made a 3-pointer to force overtime. Christenson then sank his 3-pointer with about 12 seconds left in the first OT to tie it at 60-60 and send it into another extra period.

He later drained a 17-footer from the left wing to put the Warriors ahead, 68-66, as the clock ran out before Tsinghua could inbound the ball.

Christenson finished with a game-high 28 points, Dyrbe Enos added 14 points and Brandon Orpillia contributed 12 points. 

Enzhuo Wang and Zeqi Whang paced the Dragons with 21 and 16 points, respectively.

In other consolation bracket games today, Mililani plays Saint Louis at 9 a.m., followed by Kaimuki vs. Radford at 10:30 and Moanalua vs. Tsinghua at noon.
