Kapolei edges Campbell, 1-0


KAPOLEI - Ariel Manzano's first-half goal was all Kapolei needed to fend off crosstown rival Campbell, 1-0, Tuesday night at Kapolei stadium.

The Hurricanes improved to 3-0 to maintain sole possession of first place in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red West.

In other Red West matches, Pearl City beat 'Aiea, 4-0, and Wai'anae bumped off Nanakuli, 2-0.

In the OIA White, Radford beat Leilehua, 5-2, Kalaheo edged Farrington, 2-1, and Waipahu defeated Waialua, 3-0.

In the Interscholastic League of Honolulu, Kamehameha and 'Iolani played to a scoreless tie, while Punahou edged Pac-Five, 2-1.

In ILH Division I, Mid-Pacific beat Saint Francis, 5-0.

In boys' competition, Campbell and Waialua struggled to a 1-all game, while 'Aiea squeezed past Pearl City, 3-2, and Leilehua edged Kapolei, 2-1.
