Castle breezes past Pearl City in OIA D2 playoffs, 52-31

Castle got into the groove of things after the first quarter to defeat host Pearl City, 52-31, in the first round of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II playoffs Friday night.

The Knights (3-8), the third-seeded team from the OIA East, outscored the Chargers in the final three quarters to rally from a one-point deficit after the opening period. Castle will take on top-seeded Kalani (7-3 OIA East) Saturday night at the Falcons' gymnasium.

Shayla Young scored a game-high 17 points and Reilani Roller added 10 more to lead Castle in the win. Both players also knocked down two triples.

The Chargers (2-9) were led by Alyssa Oshita, who had 16 points.
