Falcons pull away from Tigers, 41-18

Seth Tina-Soberano and Ikaika Andaya hooked up for three touchdown passes to pace Kalani to a 41-18 win over McKinley at Kaiser Stadium Friday night.

It was the final game of the season for both teams. The Falcons (4-3) finished fifth in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II standings and missed out the four-team league tournament.

Tina-Soberano and Andaya connected on touchdown passes of 15, 77 and 10 yards.

Andaya finished with five receptions for 110 yards and Tina-Soberano threw for 163 yards on 9-of-19 passing, without an interception.

Kalani rushed for 206 of its 369 yards of total offense, led by Jaemi Harris' 17-carry, 121-yard effort. Harris found the end zone on a 1-yard run in the first quarter and closed out the scoring with his 43-yard TD run in the fourth.

Frank Steffany led McKinley with 141 rushing yards and two short touchdown runs on 30 carries.

It was the highest scoring output of the season for the Tigers (0-8, 0-7 OIA).

Kalani led at halftime, 20-18, before scoring the final 21 points of the game.
