The first round of the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I playoffs have been finalized after Castle's win over Kailua Saturday night.

With the Hawaii High School Athletic Association approving a new three-tier state tournament format this year, a win in the first round of the D1 playoffs also clinches a state berth.

The Surfriders, the Red Division's sixth seed, travels to Blue Division third seed Waianae on Friday, Oct. 7. The winner of that game will challenge Red Division second seed Mililani the following week.

Farrington, the Red Division's third seed, will be the home team when it takes on Blue Division sixth seed Kaiser at Roosevelt on Friday, Oct. 7. The winner between the Governors and Cougars will take on Campbell in the quarterfinals.

Moanalua, the Blue Division's fourth seed, hosts Red Division fifth seed Castle on Friday, Oct. 7. The victor of this matchup will take on Red Division top seed Kapolei the next week.
