Steven Lombard ran in two touchdowns as No. 1 Kahuku cruised to a 56-6 rout of host Kaiser in the final regular season game for both teams Friday night.
Five different players rushed for a score for the Red Raiders, who rushed for 202 of their 347 yards of total offense.
Lombard, a 5-foot-11, 250-pound fullback, had a 2-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter and a 6-yard TD run in the second.
KJ Macatiag led all rushers with 118 yards on 15 carries, including a 2-yard TD run in the first quarter.
Vili Fisiiahi, who previously played at Kaiser, opened the scoring with his 2-yard TD run. Christopher Tuliloa and Micah Wong-Lau also ran in scores for the Red Raiders.
Quarterback Sol-Jay Maiava threw for 135 yards on 5-of-9 passing and hit Sekope Latu for a 47-yard scoring strike in the first quarter. Latu finished with four receptions for 103 yards.
Stokes Nihipali-Botelho scored on an 84-yard kickoff return on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Kaiser's lone score came on an 82-yard pass from Kainoa Torres to Andrew Kaufusi that cut Kahuku's lead to 7-6 with 6:16 left in the first quarter. However, the Red Raiders scored 49 unanswered points the rest of the way to pull away.
Kahuku improved to 7-1 overall and 7-0 in the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Blue final standings. It will have a bye in next weekend's opening round of the OIA tournament and can clinch a spot in the Open Division state tournament with a quarterfinal-round win.
The Cougars fell to 2-6 overall and 1-6 in league play. They will be the Blue sixth seed in the 12-team OIA tournament travel to play the Red third seed next week.
