KAPOLEI — Makana Srivongsana scored two first-half goals and Kaiser beat Radford, 3-0, in Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I semifinal at Kapolei Stadium Thursday night.

The East second-seeded Cougars improved to 9-2-1 and will face Kalani in Saturday's championship final at 7 p.m.

Srivongsana, a freshman midfield, scored in the seventh minute and again in the 38th minute. It was his team-leading 20th and 21st goals of the year.

"We were very worried about this Radford team and we studied them quite a bit," Kaiser coach Marco Antonio Gloria said. "With the adrenaline flowing and everything anything could happen, so we did not take this lightly at all. When we got the first two goals then we could kind of breathe and we could rotate everybody in."

Nichoals Georgia added a goal in the 65th minute.

The Cougars posted their second shutout in three nights and their ninth of the year. Srivongsana scored the lone goal in Tuesday's quarterfinal win over Castle.

Kaiser will try for its second league crown in three seasons. It won its only OIA title in 2014, also under Gloria.

"It's a great feeling to get back to the final," Gloria said. "We're going to go home and prepare (Friday) and then Saturday we're going to give our best. Kalani is a great team so we're trying to do our best."

The West sixth-seeded Rams fell to 8-5. They had won three straight matches and eight of their last nine, including Tuesday night's 2-1 overtime win over defending state champion Mililani.
