Kamaile Kandiah poured in 21 points to help lead No. 4 Punahou (9-1) past Sacred Hearts (1-8), 55-48 in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu contest at Hemmeter Fieldhouse on Saturday night.

The victory gives the Buffanblu a season sweep over the Lancers.

Kandiah knocked down five 3's for the game—four of them came in the first half.

When it felt like Punahou was going to pull away, Sacred Hearts came right back and managed to cut a double digit deficit to a seven-point deficit, 27-20 going into halftime.

Vae Malufau added 13 points and four steals for Punahou.

Jessica Hanashiro finished with 18 points, and Zoe Yamamoto added 14 for the Lancers.

Both players combined for 15 points in the fourth and led a late scoring charge for the Lancers. Yamamoto hit a running bank shot at the 1:26 mark as Sacred Hearts trailed by seven. She eventually fouled out and Punahou was able to close out the game with free throws.

With two more games left, Punahou will play at Kamehameha and host No. 3 Maryknoll. Sacred Hearts goes to Iolani and will host Kamehameha.
