Kamehameha evened the season score with rival Punahou with a 25-19, 19-25, 25-18 victory at Hemmeter Fieldhouse, turning the tables on the Buffanblu and avenging a defeat suffered at home on Sept 8.

The Warriors started fast to take the first set in convincing fashion 25-19, but Punahou came back to win the second set by the same score.

Momentum seemed to favor the home team as Punahou jumped out to an early lead in the third and decisive match. But Kamehameha was not to be denied, taking advantage of good passing and defense plus a well-balanced attack to pull away and win the deciding set 25-18.
