Tiyana Hallums put down a team-high eight kills and Sarah Lau added six as Kamehameha handily defeated Kapolei in a semifinal match of the New City Nissan/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I Girls Volleyball State Championships Friday night. The scores were 25-12, 25-14 and 25-11.
The defending champion Warriors hit .320 for the match to improve their record to 17-0 to return to the title match.
The Hurricanes, who were led by Shekinah Clarke's 10 kills, fell to 12-4.
Kamehameha will now play fellow-Interscholastic League of Honolulu foe Punahou in the 7 p.m. final Saturday at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena.
Kapolei will play Moanalua in the 3:30 p.m. third-place game.
