Storm threat forces changes to weekend football games

With Tropical Storm Ana heading toward the Hawaiian Islands this weekend, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu and Oahu Interscholastic Association have altered their weekend football schedules.

There will not be any games played on Oahu this Saturday. The ILH moved all three of its games to Friday, while the OIA pushed up a pair of Division I quarterfinals a day and pushed back two D2 semifinals to next week.

In the ILH, Iolani will host Saint Francis at 3:15 p.m. at Kozuki Stadium, while Pac-Five will play Damien and Kamehameha will play Saint Louis in a doubleheader at Aloha Stadium starting at 5:30 p.m. In the OIA, Kaiser will visit Mililani at 7 p.m. and Farrington will take on Waianae at Roosevelt's Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium at 7:30 p.m. All five games had been previously scheduled for Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Kalani-Nanakuli and Radford-Pearl City games have been moved to Saturday, Oct. 25.

The Maui Interscholastic League moved up Saturday's Baldwin-Lahainaluna game to 7 p.m. Friday at War Memorial Stadium.
