Tom-Millare runs for 5 TDs in Wolf Pack's 34-13 win over Damien

HALAWA - Keoni Tom-Millare ran for five touchdowns to lead Pac-Five to a 34-13 win over Damien in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu game at Aloha Stadium Saturday.

The Wolf Pack racked up 283 yards rushing - led Tom-Millare's 238-yard effort - and picked up 15 first downs to snap a three-game losing skid. Pac-Five, whose last win came back on Aug. 20, improved to 4-3 overall and 1-3 in the ILH.

Pac-Five scored on its first four possessions to open the game and jumped out to a quick 27-0 after the first quarter.

Tom-Millare's first TD run - a 26-yard scamper in the opening minutes - put the Wolf Pack ahead, 6-0, after a failed PAT. Austin Ursua picked off Damien's first pass attempt on its ensuing drive and Pac-Five recycled the turnover into a 2-yard TD run by Tom-Millare, who also ran in the two-point conversion.

Pac-Five needed just two plays to find the end zone on its next possession, which resulted in a 45-yard Tom-Millare TD run. Noah Oyler kicked the extra point to make the score, 21-0, with three minutes and 59 seconds left in the first quarter.

Following a Damien three-and-out, the Wolf Pack extended their lead to 28-0 on Tom-Millare's 24-yard TD run on the last play of the quarter.

Damien got on the board later in the second quarter on a 15-yard pass from Syles Choy to Kealii Kaanapu. The PAT was good by Lyle Alloy-Glover.

Tom-Millare added a 1-yard touchdown run late in the first half. He had 228 yards rushing on 14 carries by halftime.

The Monarchs, who fell to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the ILH, got its other score late in the fourth quarter on a 19-yard TD pass from Choy to Kaanapu.
