The second day of the Hawaiian Airlines/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Boys Basketball State Championships should have some interesting matchups.

In the 12-team Division I tournament, the top four seeded teams will be in action after all having first-round byes Wednesday. At McKinley's Student Council Gymnasium, Big Island Interscholastic Federation-titlist and No. 4-seed Konawaena will meet Oahu Interscholastic Association runner-up Campbell, which got by Leilehua Wednesday, in a 5 p.m. quarterfinal. In the 7 p.m. game, top-seed Iolani — which is also the No. 1 team in the ScoringLive/OC16 Boys Basketball Power Rankings — takes on an upset-minded Lahainaluna squad that dismantled 2013 state champion Kalaheo in an opening-round game.

Over at Radford's Jim Alegre Gymnasium, OIA champ Farrington — the No. 2 seed in the tournament — faces Mililani, a winner over Waiakea Wednesday, in the 5 p.m. game. The late game will feature the Maui Interscholastic League-titlist and No. 3-seed Baldwin taking on Interscholastic League of Honolulu runner-up and reigning state runner-up Maryknoll at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, the eight-team Division II tournament gets underway Thursday with quarterfinal games at two sites. At Kalani's Earl C. Holmer Gym, fourth-seeded Kohala takes on Kauai at 5 p.m. in a battle of league champions. That game will be followed by a matchup between 2013 state champion and No. 1-seed Saint Francis and Kalani at 7 p.m. At Kaimuki, third-seeded Seabury Hall — the undefeated MIL champion — plays ILH runner-up Damien and the nightcap will feature OIA champ and No. 2-seed Kalani taking on BIIF runner-up Hawaii Prep at 7 p.m.
