'AIEA -- Isaac Hurd threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 97 yards and two more scores Friday night to help Campbell pull away from 'Aiea, 28-7, in O'ahu Interscholastic Association action.

The Sabers improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the OIA Red Conference Western Division. Na Ali'i, playing without starting quarterback Jordan Li'ili'i (injured foot) and standout receiver Shaeden Hernandez-Fonoti (neck), fell to 2-2, 0-2 with their second straight loss.

Despite the absence of Li'ili'i and Hernandez-Fonoti, 'Aiea looked impressive on its first drive -- using converted defensive back Elijah Tausaga at quarterback in a Winged-T type attack that marched 89 yards in 11 plays after the opening kickoff, culminating in fullback Terrence Lauti's 2-yard touchdown plunge.

Jae Won Huh's extra point made it 7-0 five minutes into the game, but that would end Na Ali'i's scoring for the night.

Campbell tied it at 7-7 after Hurd's 1-yard quarterback sneak three minutes into the second quarter, then took the lead for good on another Hurd sneak with 6:06 remaining before halftime.

The score remained 14-7 until midway through the fourth quarter, when Hurd lasered a 19-yard TD pass to Galuenga Castro on third-and-9. Tyler Subia's PAT made it 21-7 with 6:46 left, then Abiel Taito recovered a fumble three plays later near midfield.

After two straight rushes for loss, Hurd broke through for a spectacular 45-yard run to set up his 2-yard scoring pass to Castro to effectively seal the victory with 4:49 remaining.
