Led by a strong outing by Bob Manintin, Kapaa won its second straight game, 6-3, snapping Kauai's seven game winning streak in the process.

Kauai's last loss came back on March 16, 8-3 to Kapaa, and today's result in the Warriors' favor also evened the season series between the teams at two wins and two losses each.

The Warriors plated three big runs in the second, one on a Kamekona Thompson single and two more off of a double by Kahele Pa, then another in the third on a Kimo Kupihea double, to spot Manintin a 4-0 lead.

Kauai responded in the top of the fifth, getting right back in the game with three runs plated with two outs, aided by a hit batter and two fielding errors.

In the bottom half of the fifth however, Kapaa responded with two runs of its own to push the lead out to the final margin of three.

Manintin went six innings as the starter for the Warriors, allowing three unearned runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one. Kimo Kupihea pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the save, and also was 2 for 2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Kauai starter Kyrus Domingsel allowed four runs on five hits in 2 1/3 innings of work, he gave way to Cyrus Fujimoto, who went the final 3 2/3 innings allowing 2 unearned runs on just one hit, striking out two.

Dalton Bukoski was 2 for 4 with a run scored to lead the Red Raiders offensively.
