Waianae is moving on in the playoffs.

The Seariders held off host Castle, 5-3, Wednesday afternoon in the opening round of the OIA Division I softball tournament behind two home runs by Teizsha Kaopuiki.

Savanna Casuga fired a one-hitter and struck out five batters for a complete game victory to lead Waianae in the circle.

Waianae (5-8) moves on to take on Mililani in the quarterfinals on Thursday in a 2 p.m. contest at Central Oahu Regional Park while the Knights saw their season end with a 7-6 record.
