The Rainbow Warriors notched a decisive win in he NCAA Championship match at Pauley Pavilion, sweeping rival Long Beach State, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20, to win its second straight title.

Spyros Chakas led the Hawaii attack with 14 kills and was named tournament MVP. Dimitrios Mouchlias had 11 kills and Jakob Thelle dished out 31 assists in the win.

The title match sweep of the Beach capped nine consecutive wins for the Rainbow Warriors to close out the season, which included another sweep over the Beach two weeks prior to claim the Big West title.
