Nashlynn Anguay hit a two-run home run as part of a six-run second inning and Campbell held off Baldwin, 7-6, in a quarterfinal game of the DataHouse/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division I Softball State Championships Wednesday afternoon.
The Sabers (15-2) will play in the 5 p.m. semifinal Thursday.
Cydney Curran also drove in a pair of runs and Chardonnay Pantastico and Ashlyn Yagin each paired hits in the win. Danielle Cervantes allowed five runs on five hits in six innings pitched before giving way to Elisa Favela, who gave up one run on two hits in one inning of work.
Nawai Kaupe and Lyana Bermudez each batted 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBI. Bermudez also had a triple for the Bears (13-2), who will play in an 11 a.m. consolation game Thursday. Sanoe Nakoa went the distance, allowing 11 hits.
